Hi! Hello! Welcome!

I started my bookstagram (book-instagram) account, @the.bookmom, in December 2019, completely oblivious to all the changes we would see in the coming months and now years as the world was hit with the Covid-19 pandemic. Like almost everyone else, my world suddenly became very virtual and that bookstagram account became a lifeline. I managed some of my anxiety by escaping into books and I made friends with other people online by discussing them. The connections I've made have opened up some very cool literary opportunities for me including reviewing for Cloud Lake Literary magazine, being features in Canada Reads American Style podcasts and youtube chats, running book clubs with author chats, and so much more.

I have been yearning for a way to extend this love of books, love of reading, and most of all, love of sharing. And so was born: @The.BookMom Recommends!
